  The working principle of thermocouple cables are that two conductors of different compositions are connected to form a loop.   Newly developed Fiber optic cable by Shanghai Dingzun contains optical fibers precisely measuring temperatures while each fiber optic assembly is typically coated with protective stainless steel tubes,and silicone material is used as jacket.

Fiber optic temperature measurement technology we used is to measure the characteristics of the transmitted signals inside the optical fibers for temperature information.

  The principle mainly includes two aspects: thermal optical effect and optical properties of optical fibers.

2.1. Thermal optical effect

  When the fiber optic is subjected to temperature changes, the fiber medium will expand, thereby changing the diffracted index of the fiber optic. Due to the presence of multiple total reflection layers inside the optical fiber, light signals will reflect from these layers during transmission. When the fiber optic is subjected to temperature changes, the intensity of reflected light will change, thereby affecting the transmission of optical signals.

2.2 Optical properties

  Diffracted index of optical fibers is related to temperature, which can be determined by comparing the transmission signals of external lasers and optical fibers. When the refractive index of the fiber changes, the signal emitted by the laser will have significant changes,so we can get the temperature change By analyzing the transmission signal.
